Biofilmografy
Carlos Cárdenas Tovar was born on August 5th, 1955 in Lima, Peru. He studied Sociology in the Catholic University of Peru. In 1983 he joined the Audiovisual Pedagogic Services for Training Centre (CESPAC) and since then focused his professional career in audiovisual communication, particularly in producing documentaries.
In 1986 he founded the association TV Cultura which at present he presides. In TV Cultura, he has developed several communication projects with public and private entities.
Since 1999, he has been working for the formation and strengthening of RED TV, a national network of local TV channels operating in the entire country which finally in year 2005, organized itself as The National Association of Local Television Channels –RED TV-.
As a filmmaker and executive producer he has more than 120 titles having received recognitions for: “DESPLAZADOS” (1993), “NADA PERSONAL” (1997), and “TAREA PENDIENTE” (2003).
